Thing to bring: On market day, don’t forget…
o Your tent, tent weights (at least 40 lbs per tent leg), and table.
o If you’ve been approved to use electricity, your extension cords and mats to cover any electric wires.
o Your booth sign to identify your business.
o A way to label all your product prices.
o Any other booth supplies you need, such as scales, bags (vendors may not use single-use plastic bags for checking out customers), awnings, refrigeration, etc.
o For vendors selling or providing food, your Board of Health certificate (which must be displayed at your market table).
o If you are providing food samples, any equipment you need for sampling. Remember, vendors providing food samples must meet any Glen Rock Board of Health guidelines. Samples must be kept cool in clean, covered containers and distributed in individual portions with clean disposable toothpicks or utensils. Please opt for compostable serveware when possible. Hand sanitizers and paper towels must be available to customers at all times.
Things NOT to bring:
o No single-use plastic bags or styrofoam: The Market is focused on being as plastic free as possible, and is free of single-use plastic straws and styrofoam. Within the Health Department’s regulations, please replace all items with more eco-friendly options. This includes all utensils, containers, bags and wrapping of products.
o The sale of single use water bottles is prohibited and we'd like all vendors to bring their own water in reusable water bottles.
o Medical or other claims: Make sure that you aren’t making any non-scientific-evidence-based medical claims without disclaimers
Decorum:
Reminder that all Vendors and their employees must act professionally, be courteous and honest with customers, and conduct themselves in a respectful, safe, courteous, and harmonious manner.
For more questions, please look at Section 7 of the Market Contract, or please reach out. Thank you!
